About
Hello!
I am a Computer Science student studying at Simon Fraser University (SFU) in BC. I have a specialization in Visual Computing and Artificial Intelligence. I put this site together as an excuse to post the interesting tools and techniques I find and showcase projects I’ve made along the way. If anything I post interests you or makes you curious feel free to reach out!
I’ve been working in Spatial Transcriptomics and BC Cancer for the last 3 years and that’s allowed me to work on high-end imaging solutions, to help design and implement aquisitition devices that need to function autonomously for days. Working in this production environment taught me how the software I write existing within a larger engineering context and how designing systems to fail safe and to be efficient and robust is crucial. Further, working with those microscopes introduced me to image processing, computer vision and rendering. I fell in love with the field for the clever techniques people use but also because of the impressive creations people make. Since then I’ve worked to learn more about modern method in the field, introducing me to AI and Deep Learning methods, from there I worked with the Networking Mapping Lab at SFU helping to design Semantic Caching methods for Large Language Models. Currently i work with the Medical Image Analysis Lab at SFU and the Samuel Aparicio Lab at BC Cancer. I’m excited to see where my interests take me in the future and continuing to explore this vast field.
